Senate Election Cycle Change!!!

Student Senate has changed the timing of the election cycle.  Senate had to pass this change, just as any other organization, through Welfare Committee and obtain approval from the President of the University.  The new cycle will now fall along the natural school year.  In the past elections of the President and Vice President were held in early November, followed by the election of general senators.  Now the election of President and Vice President will be held at the beginning of April, followed by the general senator elections.  The freshmen will have a special election during the first week of September, just as the freshmen elections had been held in the past. Feel free to send any member of  Senate your comments, questions or concerns regarding this change or anything else you have noticed at the University.

Student Senate

The Student Senate is recognized as the voice of Rockhurst students. Student Senate is responsible for functioning as a vehicle of communication among students, faculty and administration and, as such, addresses a wide variety of matters of importance to the general well being of the student body. Senators and executive board members are elected by the student body every year to represent their interests. Student government information (its constitution, meetings and programs) is available through the Senate office located in Massman 9 or the Student Development Office in Massman 1. All students are welcome to attend and participate in meetings.

Student Senate meets at 9:00 pm Wednesdays in Conway 104.
